Packer fan Fred Carson's life is going off script in a major way: his daughter has gotten pregnant, his son has developed an affection for smoking weed and a distaste for applying to college, and his wife still hasn't returned to work after a stress-induced leave of abscence. Oh, and Fred fears that he's about to lose his long-time job just before retirement eligibity kicks in. Life for Fred isn't making much sense anymore, but thankfully the football season still brings a semblance of hope and normalcy to his days. But is he using the Packers to fill larger voids in his life? As he tries to rally the family around his beloved team (and his beloved plans for everyone's future), Fred must confront his own tangled priorities and decide how to find true happiness, the kind that lasts even after the playoffs are over.
